This page is a tribute to the memory of our loved student and friend, Jamie Cooper Garner who was with us at Tirriwirri School from 2021 in Kindergarten to Year 4, Term 2, 2025.
Jamie had a deep love for Lemurs and knew everything about these beautiful animals, having two soft llama friends as his cherished companions and comfort toys. He was confident, kind, bright, and overwhelmingly joyful. One of his favourite sayings was “good job,” a simple yet heartfelt way he expressed appreciation and acknowledgement as he saw the world. He had a special gift for connecting with every person and animal alike—including during his visit to the Dubbo Zoo with his family—touching hearts in his own unique and magical way.
Jamie’s presence at school is deeply missed; each morning, he greeted everyone personally with a warm smile and a genuine “how are you?”
